Charlene Anne Dawson
1955-2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlene Anne Dawson on Dec 3rd, 2024 at home in Middleton, at the age of 69. Born on July 12th, 1955 to Charlie (deceased) and Millie (Murphy) Dawson. Beloved mother of Jeremy Paynter. Oldest sibling of Ricky (deceased), Steve & (Karen deceased), Danny and Teresa, Heather & Brian MacDonald and Greg & Lynn. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Charlene devoted her life to her disabled son Jeremy and made sure she had him prepared with her and beyond. She was always helping our parents, family, and whoever was in need. She and her son Jeremy shared the trait of remembering dates, people and events in the past or present when most of us wouldn't. Charlene loved our yearly Murphy reunions we had in Fernwood every first Sunday of August. She loved to read, going out for coffee with friends, taking Jeremy for drives which usually included lunch somewhere. Charlene was a very proud lady that didn't always want to let us know that she needed help, but eventually we would figure it out. She was short in stature, but she stood tall! In the past year, Charlene was struggling with her health, but of course didn't want to worry anyone. It was so hard to watch her decline and her body was tired. Jeremy is so fortunate to be involved with Community Connections, their incredible staff, and his many friends who Jeremy considers to be family. We can't thank the EMS, Police and Kinkora Fire Department enough for their professionalism and kindness on Dec. 3rd. No visitation by personal request. Funeral service on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at St.Peters, Seven Mile Bay at 10:30 a.m. Donations in Charlene's memory may be made on-line to Community Connections or Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
