Maureen Heather McMurrer
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maureen Heather McMurrer. A beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, who left us on October 23rd, 2024, at the age of 59.
Maureen’s will to live and determination to not miss a moment with her family took her through a courageous battle with cancer, that she fought strong and fearless.
She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, her beloved animals Kiera and Max, and all that knew her.
Maureen was a dedicated mother to her son Ryan. Everyone that knew Maureen knew that there was nothing more important to her than her boy. Maureen proudly worked as a nurse. Her kindness along with her big heart and her inability to be anything but genuine, allowed her dedication and ability to really care, to shine through a career that she loved dearly.
Maureen is surrounded by her son Ryan,mother Joan and siblings Debbie, Kevin, Donna and Wendy; nieces and nephews Nick, Kendra, Kayla, Blair, Travis, Samantha, Megan, Spencer and Shelby; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Kenny McMurrer; uncles Frank and Nay McAvinn, Eddie and Lenny McMurrer; as well as nephews Matthew and Denver. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. In Maureen's memory, donations may be made to PEI Cancer Society or PEI Humane Society.
Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora with visitation on Sunday, October 27 from 4 to 7 P.M. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay on Monday, October 28 at 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow in parish cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
