The Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora, Prince Edward Island was established in August of 1980 by Donald (Donnie) Lawless and his late wife Noreen (Campbell) Lawless.
Mr. Lawless was born in Summerside, P.E.I. and grew up in Kinkora where he graduated from Kinkora High School in the year 1966.
His late wife Noreen formerly of Spring Valley and graduated from Kensington High School and Holland College of Charlottetown.
Mr. Lawless' career in funeral service began in September 1966. He served his apprenticeship under the Late Gerald Rooney owner of Rooney Funeral Home of Alberton, Summerside & Kinkora.
He received his Funeral Director's and Embalmer's license in the year 1969 and over the span of 49 years in the funeral service, Mr. Lawless also served as an ambulance driver and ambulance attendant (EMT) for 16 years. Visitations continue to be held at the funeral home as well as at Kinkora Place (the community centre.) located in Kinkora.
